Dr. Jack H. Vitenson M.D.
Dr. Vitenson is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is the founder
of the urologic institute of New Jersey which was established in 1988.
He is a associate professor of surgery and urology appointed by the University of
Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey and served as the immediate past chairman
of the Department at Hackensack University Medical Center from 1990 to 2000.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania and, his doctorate from New York Medical College.
He is a member of AOA (National Honor of Medical Society), and attended urology residency at the Wilford Hole Hospital at San Antonio, Texas 1970 to 1972. Dr. Vitenson has been selected as Top Doctors: New Jersey/New York Metro Area numerous times over the years and specialized in adult and geriatric urology, prostate health, urologic oncology, and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Sergey Rome M.D.
Dr. Rome is board certified by the American Board of Urology and joined the urologic institute of New Jersey in 2003.
He is a clinical instructor of surgery appointed by the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School.
Born in Ukraine in 1968, Dr Rome immigrated to the United States in 1990.
He attended Brooklyn College, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1993. He received his doctorate from New York University, School of Medicine in 1997.
He graduated from Surgical residency in 1999 at New York University and completed a prestigious urology residency program in 2003 from New York University Medical Center where he studied under Dr. Herb Lepor, M.D.
Dr. Rome serves on several urologic advisory boards whose focuses are aimed toward improving pharmaceutical product quality in the field of urology.
Dr. Rome specializes in urologic oncology, genitourinary complex stone therapy, Male and female incontinence, and minimally invasive approaches to urologic disorders involving the prostate and bladder.
Dr. Rome is one of only a handful of board certified urologists in northern New Jersey with considerable experience in Male slings and been involved in perfecting this technique in recent years.
Dr. Rome is tri-lingual in English, Russian and Spanish.
Dr.Susan Rusnack, M.D.
She is a clinical instructor of urology appointed by the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School.
She comes to the Institute after completing her fellowship in laparoscopic and robotic surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
Prior to her fellowship, she was a resident at New York Presbyterian-Columbia.
Because of her extensive and comprehensive training, Dr. Rusnack not only specializes in robotic and laparoscopic surgery for prostate, kidney and bladder cancer, but also in minimally invasive surgery for women with pelvic organ prolapse requiring pelvic reconstruction.
She also has considerable experience in general urology for both men and women including therapy for stone disease, urinary incontinence and issues related to an enlarged prostate.
Dr. Rusnack received her Bachelor of Arts from Rice University, completing a double major in evolutionary biology as well as Spanish language.
She completed her Doctorate of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Dr. Steve Lebovitch, M.D.
Dr. Steve Lebovitch joined the staff of the Urologic Institute of New Jersey
in August of 2009.
He received his Bachelor of Science at SUNY Stonybrook and his medical degree from SUNY Down State Medical Center in 2003. He completed his general surgery and urology training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and trained at Fox-Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. His training was completed in 2009.
His training and skills include the work-up and treatment of:
· Benign and Malignant Diseases of the Kidney, Ureter, Bladder, Prostate, Urethra and the Penis.
· Male and female treatment of Stone Disease especially Complex Kidney Disease
· Voiding Dysfunction and Urinary Incontinence
· Pelvic Reconstructions in females
· Male Sexual and Erectile Dysfunction (Impotence)
· Male Reproductive System
Dr. Lebovitch is trained in both Laparoscopic and Robotic (da Vinci) surgery which he performs at Hackensack University Medical Center and The Valley Hospital.

Dr. Hossein Sedeghi-Nejad, M.D., FACS
He completed his urological residency and fellowship training in Male Reproductive Medicine and Microsurgery in Boston and is one of only a handful of board certified urologists with additional fellowship training in both male infertility and erectile dysfunction in the tri-state area.
Dr. Sadeghi is an associate professor of surgery and urology appointed by the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey
He serves as the director of the Center for Male Reproductive Medicine and Human Sexuality at the Hackensack University Medical Center.
Dr. Sadeghi provides state of the art diagnostic and therapeutic care in erectile dysfunction, male infertility, microsurgical vasectomy reversal, microsurgical varicocelectomy, and Peyronie's disease.
Dr. Sadeghi-Nejad has been internationally recognized for numerous publications and serves on the editorial board of several peer-reviewed Journals.
He was selected for the last 3 editions of Castle Connolly's Top Doctors: New York Metro Area and was among 11 urologists selected for "Best Doctors in New Jersey" by the New Jersey Monthly magazine in 2003.

Dr. Pedram Ilbeigi D.O
Dr. Ilbeigi recently joined the Urologic Institute of New Jersey in July of
2006. He has considerable experience in general adult and pediatric urology,
urologic malignancies, and female urology.
Dr. Ilbeigi specializes in advanced laparoscopy, Robotics and minimally invasive surgery involving complex urinary stone disease, genitourinary reconstructive surgery, and urological oncology.
Dr. Ilbeigi has been nationally recognized for numerous publications and educational video productions involving complex laparoscopic kidney and adrenal surgery, robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy, and laparoscopic pyeloplasty with concomitant renal stone management.
Dr. Ilbeigi was named the Praecis Gerard P. Murphy Scholar for urologic cancer research in 2004 and 2006 and was the recipient of the outstanding Laparoscopic surgeon achievement award from the society of laparo-endoscopic surgeon (SLS) in 2005.
He attended University of California where he received his Bachelors in Physiology in 1995, completed his Masters at Georgetown University school of Medicine in 1996.
He graduated top of his class, receiving his doctorate from the founding school of Osteopathic Medicine (AT Still University, College of osteopathic medicine).
He attended the surgical residency program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and stayed on to complete his urology training at the New Jersey Medical school.
He serves as the director of laparoscopy and robotics at the Institute and has recently been appointed the Associate Director of urologic oncology at Saint Michaels Medical center in Newark, New Jersey.
